Out of close to 50 nominations, Jenifer Phinney was selected as a top 3 Nebraska Association of Service Providers DSP award winner for her outstanding work serving people with developmental disabilities. Galen Stehlik Named 2020 Vision For The Future


In May at our Annual Dinner, Galen Stehlik was awarded the 2020 Vision of the Future award for his relationship and long-term commitment to our services. He is truly a friend of Goodwill. Galen connected with Goodwill in the early 1980s and has remained an active supporter ever since. He currently serves on our Goodwill Foundation Board of Directors and he served as our Goodwill Industries Operating Board Chair in 1997. Principal Foundation awards grant to Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska


Grand Island, NE – The Principal Foundation awarded Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska a $10,000 grant for Goodwill’s Employment and Career Services Program. Employment and Career Services supports employment for people with disabilities throughout Goodwill’s 55-county service area. Employment Specialists assist people living with a behavioral health issue, acquired brain injury, developmental/intellectual disability, or substance use disorder find jobs and work successfully. Goodwill Industries of Greater NE Opens Store in McCook


McCook, NE – Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska is pleased to announce the opening of its newest store and donation drop off in McCook, located at the intersection of Highway 34 and 83 in Westview Plaza.  The store’s sales floor offers 7,200 square feet to allow for donations of clothing, housewares, electronics, books and other items that will be sold at bargain prices.  Store hours are Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.  The McCook store is Goodwill’s ninth store with current stores in Scottsbluff, North Platte, Lexington, Kearney, Grand Island North [...]
