Ticket to Work

Helping Individuals with Disabilities Achieve Their Employment Goals

What is Ticket to Work?

Ticket to Work was established by the Social Security Administration (SSA) in order to give people with disabilities an opportunity to go back to work or increase income. Goodwill Employment and Career Services can help you:

  • Achieve your employment goals through career planning, job searching, resume development and career advancement supports.
  • Obtain and maintain employment that matches your unique strengths, talents, and interests.
  • Understand how your earnings from work will affect your cash and medical benefits.
  • Use work incentives programs to help you earn more.
  • Receive ticket protection from continuing disability reviews.
  • Receive ongoing benefits management and problem solving support.

Who qualifies for Ticket to Work?

Goodwill’s Ticket to Work Program serves individuals with disability benefits who desire to get back to work or want to become more independent from Social Security benefits. To qualify, individuals must:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 64
  • Currently receive SSI or SSDI

If you or someone you know are interested in learning how the ticket to work program can help you,
