Our Impact

Goodwill Foundation

Ensuring funds are available for those in need of the services Goodwill provides.

It is the responsibility of the Goodwill Industries Foundation of Greater Nebraska to raise money to assist Goodwill’s mission of helping individuals who face specific challenges, such as language barriers, a brain injury, substance use or physical or mental disabilities to accomplish things the rest of us may take for granted – like safe and affordable housing, living independently,  transportation, employment, wellness and recovery.

Goodwill accepts cash donations and hosts an end of the year annual campaign each year. One hundred percent of the funds raised from this campaign stays in greater Nebraska transforming lives of individuals that receive our Goodwill services.

Goodwill also partners with Hornady Manufacturing, Five Points Bank, Lutz, Equitable Bank, Associated Staffing, and other local businesses to sponsor the annual Platte River Charity Shoot, the organization’s only fundraising event.

Planned giving to Goodwill through wills and estates is a wonderful way to leave a legacy, while enjoying the tax advantages of philanthropic giving. Bequests of any size can help make sure that Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska will be here serving our local Nebraska communities with quality support programs and services for generations to come.

Another area the donors can support Goodwill is through one of the several Community Give Days throughout the Greater Nebraska area – be sure to check out the list of the community give days that we participate in.

If you know of a high school senior living with a disability who demonstrates their desire to increase independence through education or employment, be sure to encourage them to apply to be a recipient of our Maggie Thompson Scholarship.
