Christy Adams Named New Director of Finance

Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska is thrilled to announce Christy Adams as the organization’s new Director of Finance. Since joining Goodwill in 2021 as Controller, Christy has demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise, making her a vital asset to the Accounting and Finance teams.
A Journey Rooted in Passion and Purpose
Christy’s passion for nonprofits began during a pivotal time in her life. When one of her twin daughters was diagnosed with cancer, Christy experienced firsthand the profound impact nonprofit organizations can have. Inspired by their support, she committed to giving back and making a difference for others.
Now, as Director of Finance, Christy brings this same dedication and empathy to her role at Goodwill, ensuring the organization remains mission-focused and continues to serve communities across Greater Nebraska.
A Wealth of Experience
With over 20 years of experience as a Controller across various industries, Christy brings a well-rounded perspective to her new role. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in accounting, marketing, and management. Her robust background equips her to oversee financial operations with precision and innovation.
A Life Beyond Numbers
Outside of work, Christy enjoys spending time with her husband, Derrick, and their five daughters. Whether it’s cheering from the sidelines at volleyball, basketball, softball, or track events, or catching a Husker game, Christy’s love for family and community shines through in everything she does.
