Announcing Laura Schneck as Director of Developmental Disability Services at Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska

Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska is proud to announce Laura Schneck as our new Director of Developmental Disability Services (DDS). Laura has been a dedicated part of the Goodwill family since 2013, beginning her journey with us as a Program Assistant and rising through several impactful roles. Her experience spans a broad range of responsibilities within DDS, from Program Trainer and Habilitation Specialist to Quality Improvement Manager and most recently, Project Specialist. Laura’s extensive experience, combined with her strong commitment to empowering those with developmental disabilities, makes her an ideal fit for her new leadership role.

Born and raised in Nebraska, Laura is deeply connected to her community and brings a unique personal perspective to her work. Inspired by her own experience and that of close family members with disabilities, she is passionate about advocating for those often overlooked and is dedicated to making a positive impact. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and recently earned her Behavior Technician Certification, demonstrating her commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

When asked about her new role, Laura shared, “We have such an amazing team within our DDS department and Goodwill as a whole that I am truly honored for this opportunity and look forward to working alongside everyone in this new role!”

Laura is inspired by the words of Jane Goodall: “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” Laura’s dedication to serving others is not just a professional pursuit but a personal one, grounded in a deep-rooted desire to champion the underdog and help others reach their fullest potential.

As Laura steps into her new position, we are excited to see the positive impact her leadership will have on the individuals we serve, our dedicated staff, and our broader community. Please join us in welcoming Laura Schneck as Director of Developmental Disability Services at Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, where her passion and experience will help us continue empowering lives and sustaining futures.
