Brenda Sutherland Promoted to Chief Operating Officer

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. – Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska is pleased to announce the promotion of Brenda Sutherland to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. This leadership transition reflects Brenda's outstanding contributions to the organization and her continued commitment to advancing Goodwill's mission of changing lives through the power of work.

Since joining Goodwill, Brenda Sutherland has served as Vice President of Organizational Development, providing strategic leadership that has strengthened operations, supported organizational growth, and enhanced employee development across the state. Her focus on building strong teams, improving processes, and fostering a culture of collaboration has helped position Goodwill for continued success. 

In her new role as Chief Operating Officer, Brenda will continue to oversee Organizational Development while expanding her responsibilities to include leadership of Goodwill's Donated Goods Retail division. Her oversight will encompass retail operations, logistics, warehouse functions, and the organization's environmental sustainability efforts. She will also continue working closely with the executive leadership team to advance strategic priorities and enhance organizational effectiveness.
