Empowering Lives. Sustaining Futures. Annual Giving Campaign

Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska has always been more than a thrift store. It’s a mission-driven organization transforming lives and communities. As 2024 comes to a close, Goodwill is celebrating another year of remarkable achievements, made possible by the unwavering support of donors, shoppers, and community partners.

Changing Lives Across Nebraska

The 2023 Community Impact Report highlights the profound difference Goodwill has made in the lives of individuals across the region. These numbers tell a story of hope, progress, and shared success:

  • Over 1,500 individuals served through employment, behavioral health, developmental disability, and support programs.
  • 890 individuals found meaningful employment, building independence and financial stability.
  • More than 700 individuals received mental health services, providing tools for dignity, self-reliance, and improved quality of life.
  • Nearly 1.5 million pounds of goods diverted from landfills, promoting environmental sustainability and giving items a second life.

These achievements represent lives changed, futures brightened, and communities strengthened. Together, the community is making a tangible difference.

The Work Continues

While the impact has been significant, the need for Goodwill’s services continues to grow. Every day, individuals across Nebraska face challenges that require compassionate support and innovative solutions.

To meet these rising demands, Goodwill has identified three key areas for expansion:

  • Job Coaching and Placement Services: Helping even more individuals overcome barriers to employment.
  • Mental Health and Housing Support: Providing critical services for vulnerable populations to live with dignity.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Enhancing efforts to reduce waste and repurpose goods, fostering sustainability for future generations.

How You Can Help

Goodwill is inviting community members to be part of this transformative work. Donations, both monetary and material, directly support Goodwill’s mission to empower lives and sustain futures.

A contribution to Goodwill is more than a donation—it’s an investment in people, sustainability, and a brighter tomorrow for all.

This holiday season, Goodwill encourages supporters to consider how their generosity can help expand services, amplify impact, and provide hope to those who need it most.
