October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to celebrate the vital role individuals with disabilities play in our workforce and to promote inclusive employment practices. The theme of this year's NDEAM is, "Access to Good Jobs for All," which reminds us that every individual, regardless for their ability, deserves the opportunity to thrive in their career.

At Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, we are committed to this theme by providing more than just jobs — we strive to provide career development, skill building, and long-term success for all of our employees to help them unlock their full potential and thrive in their communities.

As we celebrate NDEAM, we encourage community members and businesses to reflect on how they can foster an inclusive and supportive work environment, not just this month, but throughout the year. Whether it's adopting more accessible hiring practices, offering workplace accommodations, or simply advocating for equal opportunity, every step forward helps create a more inclusive workforce.

Throughout National Disability Employment Awareness Month, let's continue to recognize the value that individuals with disabilities bring to our workplaces and work together to ensure that every person has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
